Per più di 25 anni, il Silverdome ha vibrato con la musica delle più grandi star, nonchè per competizioni sportive prestigiose. Vent’anni fa, il 18 giugno 1994, il Pontiac Silverdome di Detroit ospitava la prima partita dei Mondiali di calcio in un stadio coperto. Da ormai 13 anni, lo stadio è in stato di abbandono dopo il fallimento della squadra di NFL, i Detroit Lions.
Oggi quest’arena di 80.000 posti è solo desolazione. Il canale americano WDIV-TV ha realizzato un documentario con il giornalista Alex Atwell che è entrato in questo stadio mitico.
